The Tides function will automatically restart and not reset if Verify QC is restarted within an 18 hour time limit and the same configuration as previously saved is used.
If however Verify QC was shut down for longer than 18 hours the MSS Tides will reset. After this, another 39 hours of data will be required before the Doodson Filter will calculate the MSS value.
If a new tides file location is set or a new QC configuration started then the MSS Tides will reset. To retain MSS Tides between VQC configurations, use File- Save As instead of File- New. This will retain the Tides File Path and MSS will not reset.
Note: When Verify QC restarts, the PPP calculations will need to settle and a 15mins hold-off period is also required before Tides will start to gather tides data.
