Note: After changing the PPP solution to APEX the demodulator will then require up to 30 minutes to reconverge and output a PPP position.
To change the used PPP service in the PPP calculation on LD6 it is necessary to firstly determine what version of LD6 is being used, as different versions menus are structured differently.
To find out which version of LD6 is being used follow the below steps:
From the LD6 Home screen select Settings > Status. Then on the next screen, the System version will be displayed:
LD6 versions below 22.214.171.124
If the LD6 version is below 126.96.36.199 then from the home screen select Solutions > Config:
Once Solutions > Config has been selected use the arrow options on the right-hand side to get to PPP Service and current service will displayed.
To change the PPP service to APEX select Use Apex:
Note: If the current service in use is already APEX Use Ultra will be displayed. If this is the case no further configuration will be necessary.
The LD6 will request confirmation for this change. A warning box will appear to alert the user that switching between PPP solutions will lead to a settling period, where a loss of PPP solution output will occur:
LD6 versions above 188.8.131.52
If LD6 Version starts with 184.108.40.206 or above use the following steps:
From LD6 Home screen select GNSS > Config:
Use the right-hand arrows to scroll to the PPP Config page and select Edit. Then use the arrow icons to select Apex. Press Enter to confirm the selection, followed by Close. If the current service in use is already Apex no further configuration will be necessary.
